Upload a spreadsheet and ask questions in plain English to get answers and charts.

Quadratic
A spreadsheet where AI writes the formulas, Python and SQL to analyse your data.
Quick take
- A spreadsheet that speaks Python, SQL and JavaScript, with AI that writes the code for you and leaves it in the cell to check.
- Connects directly to Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery and more, so you analyse live data instead of exporting CSVs.
- The free Personal plan is enough to try it. Pro is $18 per user a month billed yearly, with $20 of AI credits included.
- Best for people who can read a bit of code. If you never want to look at Python or SQL, half the point is lost.
- AI is metered by credits, so heavy daily use can cost more than the headline price.
What is Quadratic?
Quadratic is a browser spreadsheet with code built into the grid. Any cell can hold a normal formula, Python, SQL or JavaScript, and the AI writes these for you when you ask in plain English, such as "chart monthly revenue by region" or "find duplicate customers". It connects straight to databases like Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake and BigQuery, pulls in CSV, Excel and PDF files, and links to QuickBooks, Google Analytics and Mixpanel. It handles far bigger files than Excel or Google Sheets.
Pick it over Julius AI when you want to see and edit the working, not just get a chart back: everything the AI produces stays in the sheet as code or formulas you can check. Pick GPT for Work instead if your team lives in Excel or Google Sheets and just wants AI inside the files they already have. It also has an MCP server and API, so Claude can read and write your sheets.
The catch: you get the most out of it if you can at least read a little Python or SQL. If you only need help with one formula, it is more than you need. AI use is metered by credits, and heavy users report running through the monthly allowance quickly. It is also a newer product with a much smaller community than Excel or Sheets, so there are fewer templates and how-to guides.

Which plan should you pick?
Start on the free Personal plan with a real data set. If you use it every week, Pro is enough for most people; move to Business only if you keep running out of AI credits. Monthly billing costs about 10% more than the yearly prices shown.
Prices in USD unless noted, checked 22 October 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on their site before you buy.
Best use cases
Ways Quadratic can slot into your week.
- 1
Monthly sales report from the database
Connect your Postgres or BigQuery data, ask for revenue by product and region with a chart, and refresh it next month instead of rebuilding it.
- 2
Clean a messy export
Drop in a CRM or e-commerce export and ask it to remove duplicates, fix dates and split names, with each step kept as code you can rerun.
- 3
Turn PDF statements into a table
Upload supplier invoices or bank statements and have the figures pulled into rows ready to total and compare.
- 4
Build a simple forecast
Ask for a 12-month cash flow or demand forecast in Python, then tweak the assumptions in normal cells.
How it fits your tech stack
It sits next to Excel or Google Sheets rather than replacing them for everyday lists. Use it for the heavier analysis that needs a database connection or code, and export results back to Excel or CSV when others need them.
