Quick take

- Standard is $25 a month and includes $25 of AI usage; extra usage is bought as you go.
- You can choose the model (including Claude) or bring your own API key on Business.
- Being renamed Autosheet. Same team, account and plan, just a new name and domain.
- No ongoing free plan, only starter credits on a cheaper model.
What is GPT for Work?
GPT for Work is an add-on for Google Sheets and Excel (with Docs and Word versions bundled in). It adds formulas like =GPT() so you can run an AI prompt in a cell, bulk tools that apply one prompt to thousands of rows, and an agent you can ask to clean, fix or analyse a sheet. You pick the AI model, including Claude and GPT models, or bring your own API key. It is made by Talarian, a Swiss company, and is being renamed Autosheet, with the site moving to autosheet.com.
Pick it when the job is the same AI task repeated across many rows: categorising support tickets, writing product descriptions, translating a catalogue or tidying lead lists. Julius is better for asking questions about a whole dataset, and Microsoft 365 Copilot or Gemini in Google Workspace are better for one-off help in a sheet. Clay is the stronger choice if lead enrichment is your main job.
The catch: usage is billed on AI tokens, so big jobs on top models cost more than you might expect, and there is no ongoing free plan. You also need to spot-check results, because the same prompt across 10,000 rows will get some of them wrong.
