Claude
AI Assistants & LLMs
Anthropic's chat assistant, at its best on careful writing and long documents.

Ask Claude for a document or deck, then edit, share and export it without leaving chat.
Quick take
Claude Docs and Claude Slides are documents and slide decks that Claude makes inside a normal chat. Ask for a proposal, report, SOP or a 10-slide deck and it appears as a page you can edit directly or change by asking. Docs can be shared with colleagues, who can comment, and download to Word or open in Google Docs. Slides can be presented from Claude or exported to PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides.
They are for the everyday report or deck that starts in a conversation, especially when Claude has already done the research or read your files: a weekly report and a summary deck can come out of the same chat and stay consistent. For a deck that has to match your brand closely, use Claude Design. For long-lived team documents, Google Docs or Word still have the edge on co-editing and version control.
Both launched on 16 September 2026 and came out of beta on 8 October. They use your normal Claude usage limits, so a big deck can eat through a Free or Pro allowance quickly, and the PowerPoint export is best treated as a starting point.
Anyone who already uses Claude and wants the report or deck at the end of the chat, ready to share.
Made in the chat
Ask for a report, proposal, SOP or deck and it opens as a document you can edit by hand or by asking Claude.
Built from your sources
Claude can pull from your files, connected apps and web research while it writes, so the document starts with real facts.
Share and comment
Documents start private. Share them by link or with your organisation, and leave comments on the text.
Tables, charts and diagrams
Docs can hold tables, task lists, charts and drawn diagrams alongside the text.

Ways Claude Docs & Slides can slot into your week.
Weekly report and deck
Ask Claude to pull the week's numbers from your connected apps, write the report and turn the highlights into five slides, then schedule it for every Monday.
Proposal from a discovery call
Paste your call notes and past proposal, and get a new proposal document to tweak, comment on and download to Word.
SOPs for the team
Talk a process through with Claude and save it as a shared SOP your staff can read and comment on.
Research into a briefing
Have Claude research a market or competitor, then turn the findings into a document and a short deck in one go.
It sits inside Claude, so your Projects, connectors and files feed straight in. Finished work goes out to Word, Google Docs, PowerPoint or Google Slides, which is where most teams keep final versions. Use Claude Design when the deck must look like your brand.
