Keyword research, backlink checks and site audits in one toolkit.

Moz
A long-running SEO toolkit for keywords, links and rankings, known for Domain Authority.
Quick take
- A friendly all-round SEO toolkit for keywords, backlinks, rank tracking and site audits.
- It created Domain Authority, the most quoted measure of how strong a website is.
- Moz Pro runs from $49 to $299 a month, about 20% less billed yearly, and the free MozBar and DA checks cover a lot.
- Its data is smaller than Ahrefs or Semrush, so serious SEO teams usually pick one of those.
What is Moz?
Moz is one of the oldest SEO toolkits, and it invented Domain Authority, the 1 to 100 score many people use to judge how strong a website is. Moz Pro covers the main SEO jobs: finding keywords and how hard they are to rank for, checking which sites link to you and your competitors, tracking your Google rankings and auditing your site for problems.
It's known for being friendlier than the bigger suites, with clear explanations and lots of free learning material. The free MozBar browser extension and free Domain Authority checks are widely used. Newer features track AI Overviews by keyword and how your brand shows up in AI assistants, and there's a paid API with an official MCP server in beta for its data.
The catch is that its keyword and backlink data is smaller than Ahrefs or Semrush, and the cheapest plan is tight on tracked keywords and searches. Moz is owned by Ziff Davis, and Moz Pro and the Moz API are sold as separate products.
