Convex is a database and backend designed so your app updates live, everywhere, without you writing any of the plumbing. Change a record and every open screen showing it refreshes on its own.
You write your backend logic in TypeScript, the same language as the front end, which is why AI coding tools are unusually good at it. Convex publishes guidance specifically for Claude Code and other AI assistants, and its official connection lets Claude inspect data and run functions in your project.
It is a developer-first product; there is no spreadsheet-style view for non-technical teammates. If you are not building with Claude Code or a similar tool, Supabase or Airtable will feel more approachable.
