Picsart

Phone-first photo and video editor with stickers, templates and dozens of AI models.

FreemiumFrom $15/mo or $126/yrWorks with Claude Code

Quick take

  • A huge toolbox on your phone: editing, stickers, templates, background removal and dozens of AI image and video models.
  • The free version is now mostly a taster. Long-time users say features that used to be free are behind the paywall.
  • Watch the free trial. The most common complaint is being charged for a full year after a trial or after picking the wrong plan.
  • Pro is cheap on yearly billing, but AI credits expire each month and video eats them fast.

What is Picsart?

Picsart is a photo and video editor that started on phones and still feels most at home there. You get filters, stickers, collages, text, background and object removal, templates, and an AI Playground that lets you generate images and video with outside models such as Nano Banana Pro, Kling and Seedance from one credit balance. In 2026 it added AI agents for tasks like product imagery, plus a CLI and MCP server so AI assistants can use its tools.

Pick it over Canva when you mostly edit photos on your phone and want creative effects, stickers and quick AI touch-ups. Canva is the better pick for layouts, brand kits and anything a team will share. For product photos in bulk, Photoroom is more focused.

The catch is the way it sells. Many tools that were once free now sit behind the paywall, and Reddit and Trustpilot are full of people charged a full year after a free trial or after picking what looked like a weekly plan. If you try it, set a reminder to cancel before the trial ends.
