What is it?

Make (formerly Integromat) lets you draw your automations on a canvas. Each step is a bubble, and you connect them to show how data flows from one app to the next.

Where Zapier is a straight line, Make lets you branch, loop and filter, so one scenario can handle several outcomes. You can see every run on the canvas, which makes it much easier to work out why something broke. It also has AI agent steps and connects to most of the same apps.

The canvas takes an afternoon to get comfortable with, and the credit-based pricing can be confusing at first. Worth the effort once your automations have more than three or four steps.

Who it's for

Marketers and operators who have outgrown simple automations and want to see what their workflows are doing.

Best for

  • Multi-step marketing workflows
  • Branching logic and filters
  • Processing batches of records
  • Budget-conscious automation

Why it made the list

The best balance of power and price for people who are not developers; it handles complex flows that Zapier charges a premium for.
