What is it?

Flow is Google's tool for making short films with its Veo video models. Unlike most generators it produces sound as well, so clips come with dialogue, ambience and effects built in.

You can feed it reference images for characters, objects and style so they stay consistent scene to scene, generate a clip between a start and end frame, extend clips and stitch them into a sequence. It is the closest thing to an AI storyboard-to-film pipeline for non-editors.

It needs a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription, and the credit costs per clip are high. Expect short clips, not full videos.

Who it's for

Creators and marketers who want the most realistic AI video with sound and are happy to pay per clip.

Best for

  • Realistic clips with sound
  • Consistent characters across scenes
  • Short ads and concept films
  • Animating reference images

Why it made the list

Veo's clips with native audio are among the most convincing available, and Flow makes them usable without a studio.
