Deel
Hire and pay contractors or staff in other countries without setting up a company there.
Quick take
- The easiest well-known way to hire and pay people overseas without opening a company in their country.
- Contractors cost from $49 a month each; employees through its employer of record service from $599 a month each.
- Covers contracts, tax forms, invoices and payments in 120+ currencies, and employment in 130+ countries.
- Month-to-month pricing with no long-term contract, though employment notice laws still apply to EOR staff.
- Has a public API. Claude connectors for it exist, but they come from third parties, not Deel.
What is Deel?
Deel lets you hire and pay people in other countries without setting up a company there. For contractors, it writes a local contract, collects their tax forms, handles invoices and pays them in 120+ currencies. For full-time staff, Deel becomes the legal employer on paper (called an employer of record, or EOR) in 130+ countries, and runs their local payroll, taxes, benefits and compliance while they work for you.
It also runs payroll where you already have your own entities, a US PEO (where Deel co-employs your US staff so they get bigger-company benefits), recruiting with AI screening and interview summaries, HR tools, and laptops for remote staff. Deel's AI helps with screening candidates, writing offers and approving hiring and payroll steps.
The catch is the cost per person. Contractors start at $49 a month each and EOR employees at $599 a month each, so it adds up fast. Deel has a public API, but the Claude connectors for it come from third parties, not from Deel.

Which plan should you pick?
Most small businesses start with Contractors for overseas freelancers. Move a person to Employer of Record when they're full-time and long-term, or when local rules mean they should be an employee. Pay is month to month, so you can change as the team changes.
Prices in USD unless noted, checked 3 November 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on their site before you buy.
