Records podcasts and video interviews remotely in studio quality, with AI editing.

Castmagic
Turns podcasts and recordings into show notes, posts, emails and clips.
Quick take
- Upload an episode and get show notes, timestamps, quotes, posts and a newsletter draft within minutes.
- Show notes and summaries are close to ready; social posts usually need rewriting in your own voice.
- No free plan. Hobby starts at $19 a month billed yearly for 30 hours of transcribed audio in total.
- Custom prompts mean you can save your own formats and run them on every episode.
What is Castmagic?
Castmagic takes a recording, whether a podcast, webinar, interview, sales call or YouTube video, transcribes it, and then drafts the written content around it: show notes, titles, timestamps, key quotes, LinkedIn and X posts, a newsletter, a blog post. You can write your own prompts for formats you use every week, chat with the transcript to pull out ideas, and cut short clips and audiograms. It connects to Zoom, Google Drive and Zapier, so new recordings can flow in without uploading.
Pick it when you publish long recordings and the writing around them is the bottleneck. Opus Clip is better if you mainly want short video clips; Riverside and Descript record and edit but do less with the text. You could get similar results by pasting a transcript into Claude or ChatGPT, but Castmagic saves the prompts, keeps a searchable library of every episode and does it in one click.
The catch: the show notes are usually close to ready, but social posts often read like generic AI copy and need rewriting in your voice. Plans are capped by total transcribed hours, there is no free plan, and the jump to the business tier is steep.

Which plan should you pick?
Hobby is enough to test it on one show. Starter is the sensible plan for a business publishing every week, and the one that adds API access. Hours are a running total, not a monthly allowance, so estimate how much you will upload in a year.
Prices in USD unless noted, checked 22 October 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on their site before you buy.
