Describe a video and its AI agent writes, finds footage, narrates and edits a first cut.

Pictory
Turns a blog post, script or slides into a narrated video with stock footage.
Quick take
- Paste a script or blog link and get a narrated, captioned video with stock footage in a few minutes.
- Expect to replace a fair share of the auto-picked clips; matching is the most common complaint.
- Starter is $25 a month billed yearly ($29 monthly). There is a 14-day free trial, no free plan.
- Good for explainers and content repurposing, not for premium brand videos.
What is Pictory?
Pictory makes videos from words. Paste a script, a blog post URL or a slide deck, and it splits the text into scenes, picks matching stock footage from Getty Images and Storyblocks, adds an AI voiceover and captions, and applies your brand colours, fonts and logo. You then swap clips, edit text and change the voice in a simple scene-by-scene editor. It can also cut highlights from a long recording by editing the transcript.
Pick it when you want to get more out of written content you already have, such as turning a weekly blog into a short video for LinkedIn and YouTube, or a policy document into a short training clip, and you do not want to film. InVideo and Fliki do a similar job; Synthesia and HeyGen are better if you want a presenter on screen; Opus Clip is better for cutting clips from real footage.
The catch: the stock footage it chooses is often only loosely related to what is being said, so expect to swap a good number of clips by hand. The result looks like a stock-footage video, which suits explainers but not premium brand work. Billing and cancellation complaints come up often, so note your renewal date.
