Comet
AI Browsers & Agents
Perplexity's free web browser with an assistant that reads your tabs and does tasks.

A work browser from the makers of Arc that answers questions from your tabs and apps.
Quick take
Dia is a web browser from The Browser Company, the team that made Arc, which Atlassian bought in October 2025. It has a chat built in that can read the page you're on and any tabs you @-mention, so you can ask it to compare two proposals, summarise a thread or rewrite a paragraph in place. Connect Slack, Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, Jira or Confluence and it can answer questions across those too.
It's aimed squarely at office work. The paid plans add a Morning Brief that pulls your calendar, inbox and to-dos into one page, meeting prep that opens the agenda and notes before each call, and reports or slide decks built from what it has gathered. Skills let you save a prompt you use often and run it with a slash command. Choose Dia over Comet if your day runs on Slack and Atlassian tools; choose Comet if you want an agent that clicks through websites for you or a browser on your phone.
The catch is price. Since August 2026, new Mac users get a free browser with no AI after a two-week trial, and the AI costs $20 a month (or $100 for the full workday features). Arc fans also say it still lacks some of Arc's best touches, there's no phone app, Windows only arrived in October 2026, and new accounts now have to sign in with an Atlassian account.
Office workers and teams who live in Slack, Gmail and Atlassian tools and want their browser to pull it all together.

Which plan should you pick?
Use the 14-day trial properly, then decide if the chat alone is worth $20 a month to you. Better Days at $100 only makes sense if the Morning Brief and meeting prep save you real time every day. Existing users keep their free AI for now, with 30 days' notice before that changes, and Windows users aren't on the paid plans yet.
Prices in USD unless noted, checked 21 October 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on their site before you buy.
Ways Dia can slot into your week.
Compare two quotes
Open both proposals, @-mention them and ask Dia where they differ on price, scope and terms.
Start the day in one place
Read the Morning Brief with your meetings, urgent emails and Jira tickets before opening anything else.
Walk into meetings prepared
Let it pull up the agenda, past notes and the client's latest emails ten minutes before the call.
Reuse your best prompts
Save a Skill for 'summarise this for a client update' and run it on any page.
Dia replaces Chrome or Arc as your main browser and draws on the apps you already use, especially Slack, Google Workspace and Atlassian. If your business doesn't use those, much of the value goes away and a free option like Comet makes more sense.
