Manus is an AI agent you hand a job to rather than a question. Tell it to research ten competitors and build a comparison, scrape a list of leads, plan a trip or turn a brief into a website, and it opens its own browser, runs code and works until it has something to show you.
You can watch it work step by step and nudge it along the way, and it will keep going in the background while you do something else. It can also run tasks on a schedule, which makes it a hands-off way to automate recurring research and reporting.
It runs on credits and a single big task can eat a chunk of the monthly allowance, so costs are less predictable than a fixed subscription. For a lot of jobs Claude Code does the same thing with more control.
