Notion
Productivity & Notes
One workspace for notes, docs, wikis and project tracking, with AI built in.

ClickUp's built-in AI that answers questions, writes updates and runs agents on tasks.
Quick take
ClickUp Brain is the AI inside ClickUp, the project management app. It reads your tasks, docs, chats and connected apps, then answers questions like what's blocking the website launch, writes status updates, fills in task fields and drafts docs. Super Agents can run jobs on a schedule, such as a Monday summary of overdue work. It can also take meeting notes, search across Google Drive and Slack, and switch between GPT, Claude and Gemini models.
It only makes sense if your team already runs its work in ClickUp. There it has context a general chatbot doesn't, and it can act on tasks instead of just talking about them. If you live in Notion, Notion AI does the same job there. If you just want writing help, ChatGPT or Claude can connect to ClickUp through MCP without paying ClickUp for AI.
The catch is price and stability. In 2026 ClickUp has changed its AI pricing several times: add-ons, credits, then new plans with AI bundled in, which it is still testing in October 2026. Long-time users on r/clickup complain about pushy upsells, premium-model limits added mid-contract and features that now eat credits. ClickUp itself is often called slow and buggy, and some workspaces lost Brain for days at a time.

Ways ClickUp Brain can slot into your week.
Monday status update
Ask Brain to summarise what each client project shipped, what's late and who is blocked, then post it to the team.
Client request triage
Set a Super Agent to read new form requests, tag them by client and urgency and assign the right person.
Project briefs
Turn a meeting transcript into a brief with tasks, owners and due dates in a few clicks.
Finding old decisions
Ask where the team landed on a client's logo direction and get the doc or comment it came from.
It lives inside ClickUp and reaches out to Google Drive, Slack, GitHub and other apps. If your team prefers Claude or ChatGPT, ClickUp's MCP server and ChatGPT plugin let those tools work with your tasks instead.
