DBHub (Postgres & SQL)

DBHub connects Claude to your own database. Ask "how many customers signed up last month by country?" and Claude finds the right tables, writes the SQL, runs it and explains the answer. It works with Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, Oracle and SQLite.

It's deliberately lean: two tools by default, so it barely touches Claude's context. Claude Code's own documentation uses it as its database example. Connect with a read-only database user, as Anthropic recommends, and turn on read-only mode for anything with real customer data.

If you only use Postgres and want deep performance tuning (index advice, health checks, slow-query hunting), Postgres MCP Pro from Crystal DBA is the specialist pick, though it hasn't had a release since May 2025.
