Which plan to pickIf you already pay for Claude Pro, you have it. If not, try Design on the Free plan and move to Pro when the daily limits get in the way, which happens quickly once you're iterating on a deck. Team makes sense when several people need the same brand setup.Business Standard is the plan to be on. Starter is cheap but leaves out Gemini in Docs, Sheets and Slides, which is the whole point. Only move to Plus if you need Vault or the extra storage, not for the AI.Use the free credits to make two or three decks and judge the output. If you'll keep using it, Plus is the sensible step because it removes the badge and refreshes credits monthly. Only move to Pro if you want the API, custom domains or viewer analytics.

AttributeClaude DesignGemini in Google WorkspaceGamma
Pros

  • You refine by talking, which non-designers find natural

  • Sheets help is genuinely useful for non-technical people

  • The agent makes rewrites and restyles painless
  • API and connectors mean it fits into automated workflows
Cons
  • Still new, so layouts occasionally need manual fixing
  • Slower to generate than Gamma
  • Uses up your Claude usage limits, which bite on Free and Pro
  • No standalone API for automated deck generation
  • Business Starter leaves out the Docs, Sheets and Slides features
  • Slide designs are plain and need a human tidy
  • Writing quality is behind Claude and needs more editing
  • Features and limits change often and vary by plan, which is confusing

  • Hard to keep strictly on brand across many decks
  • Credits drain quickly if you regenerate images often
  • Exports to PowerPoint don't always keep the layout intact
