Which plan to pickIf you already pay for Claude Pro, you have it. If not, try Design on the Free plan and move to Pro when the daily limits get in the way, which happens quickly once you're iterating on a deck. Team makes sense when several people need the same brand setup.Business Standard is the plan to be on. Starter is cheap but leaves out Gemini in Docs, Sheets and Slides, which is the whole point. Only move to Plus if you need Vault or the extra storage, not for the AI.If your business is on a Microsoft 365 Business plan, Copilot Business is the one to trial, and only for the people who live in Outlook, Teams and Word all day. Don't buy it for everyone on day one. Check the current per-user price on Microsoft's site, because it changes with promotions.

Pros and cons

AttributeClaude DesignGemini in Google WorkspaceMicrosoft 365 Copilot
Pros
  • Matches your brand far better than other generators
  • No extra subscription if you already use Claude
  • Handles decks, pages and prototypes in one place
  • Clean hand-off to Claude Code for building
  • You refine by talking, which non-designers find natural
  • Already inside the apps your team opens every day
  • Answers from your own files, email and calendar
  • Bundled into the Workspace price rather than a separate bill
  • Sheets help is genuinely useful for non-technical people

  • Meeting recaps in Teams save real hours
  • Excel help makes data approachable for non-analysts
  • Enterprise security and permissions come built in
  • Agents can be built without a developer
Cons
  • Still new, so layouts occasionally need manual fixing

  • No standalone API for automated deck generation
  • Business Starter leaves out the Docs, Sheets and Slides features
  • Slide designs are plain and need a human tidy
