Elon Musk's AI assistant, plugged into what people are posting on X right now.

Grok Imagine
Grok's image and video maker: turn a prompt or photo into a short clip with sound.
Quick take
- Very fast images and short video clips with sound, built into Grok and X.
- There's no separate price. It comes with Grok's paid plans, from Plus at $8 a month, with Premium at $30 giving four times the usage.
- Clips are short and top out at 720p unless you pay for Super, so Kling or Veo look better for ads.
- Looser content rules than other tools, including an adult "Spicy" mode. Think about that before using it for client work.
What is Grok Imagine?
Grok Imagine is the image and video maker inside Grok, the assistant from SpaceXAI (called xAI until mid-2026). You type a prompt or upload a photo, and it makes images or a short video clip with sound in seconds. It works on grok.com, in the Grok phone app and inside X.
It's quick, and it's good for social content: animating a product photo, a meme, a short scene for a post. Clips are short, around 15 seconds at most, and 1080p video needs the Super plan. Developers can make the same videos through the Grok API.
Its content rules are looser than other video tools. A "Spicy" mode behind age verification allows adult content, and Grok drew regulator attention in 2026 over sexualised images of real people. That doesn't affect normal business use, but some clients won't want their brand anywhere near it.
