Grok Bot
Always-on Grok agents with their own cloud computer that work your apps for you.
Quick take
- Grok's always-on agent. It gets its own cloud computer, signs into your apps and keeps working while you're away, then checks in when it needs approval.
- There's no separate price. It comes with the X Subscription from Premium at $30 a month, and with Cursor's top plans. Enterprise access is by waitlist.
- It's a beta with no independent testing yet, so judge it on your own jobs, not the launch claims.
- Security details are thin: all your Bots share one computer and xAI hasn't said much about how logins are stored. Keep it away from accounts that hold money or sensitive data until that's clearer.
What is Grok Bot?
Grok Bot is the agent side of Grok, from SpaceXAI (formerly xAI). Each Bot gets a cloud computer with a browser, files and a terminal, signs into the tools you already use with your own logins, and works through a job while your laptop is closed. You message it like a colleague, and it comes back when something needs your approval.
It launched in beta on 11 August 2026 after starting as an internal tool at xAI, where teams used it for sales outbound, CRM clean-up, invoice processing and bug triage. You can show it a task once and it saves that as a routine to run again, and several Bots can work in parallel and hand work to each other. Because it uses the actual websites and apps, it works with tools that have no API or connector.
It's a beta, and early coverage mostly repeats xAI's own claims, with no independent testing yet. All your Bots share one cloud computer, and xAI hasn't fully explained how your logins are stored. Start it on low-risk jobs with accounts you can afford to have it touch. For a similar agent that works on your own files, look at Claude Cowork or ChatGPT Work.

Key features
Its own cloud computer
Each Bot works in a cloud computer with a browser, files and a terminal, so jobs keep running when your laptop is off.
Uses your real tools
Signs into the sites and apps you already use, including ones with no API, and uses connectors where they exist.
Teach it once
Show it a task and it saves a routine it can run again on a schedule.
Approvals, not hand-holding
It works through the steps on its own and only comes back when something needs a yes from you.
Bots that work together
Run several Bots in parallel that message each other, share threads and pass work along.
Desktop and iPhone apps
Message your Bots from the desktop app (Mac, Windows and Linux) or iOS. Android is coming.

Best use cases
Ways Grok Bot can slot into your week.
- 1
Sales research overnight
Have it research a list of accounts, score the contacts and leave draft emails and LinkedIn messages for you to approve in the morning.
- 2
Invoices from your inbox
Let it pick up invoices that land in Gmail and enter them into your accounting or ops tools.
- 3
CRM clean-up
Keep deal records tidy, flag stalled deals and add notes from call transcripts.
- 4
Jobs in clunky web apps
Teach it a repetitive task in a supplier portal or old admin panel once, then let it run on a schedule.
How it fits your tech stack
It sits on top of the web apps you already use by logging in like a person, so it reaches tools that Zapier or n8n can't. Use those for fixed, reliable automations, and Grok Bot for messier jobs that need reading a page and making a judgement.
