What is it?

Antigravity is Google's take on AI coding, built around Gemini. Rather than an editor with an assistant bolted on, it starts from a dashboard where you hand tasks to one or more agents, watch their progress, and review the result when they finish.

Its 2.0 release in May 2026 added a desktop app, a command-line tool and a developer kit, and it replaced Google's older Gemini CLI. The free tier is generous enough for real work, and if you already pay for Google AI Pro you get higher limits for nothing extra.

It is the rising pick in this list rather than the proven one. Google has changed its free limits before with little warning, so treat the free tier as a trial rather than a promise.
