Drafts documents, builds slides and summarises email inside Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Glean
Searches and answers questions across all your company's apps, with agents on top.
Quick take
- One search box and assistant across 275+ work apps, with answers that link back to the source.
- Respects each app's permissions, so people only see what they could already open.
- No public pricing or self-serve plan. Reported deals often start around 100 seats on an annual contract.
- If your company is all-in on Microsoft 365, compare against Microsoft 365 Copilot before buying.
- Answers depend on how tidy your documents are. Old, duplicate files lead to wrong answers.
What is Glean?
Glean connects to the apps your company already uses (Google Drive, SharePoint, Slack, Teams, Jira, Confluence, Salesforce and more than 275 others) and builds one search index across them. Staff can search everything at once or ask questions in plain English and get answers with links back to the source. Each person only sees what they already have permission to see in the original app. On top of that you can build agents that run multi-step jobs, such as answering support tickets or preparing account briefs, using company data.
Pick Glean when your company's knowledge is spread across many tools from different vendors and people waste time hunting for it. If you live almost entirely in Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot covers much of the same ground with less setup; Google Workspace companies can look at Gemini first. Small teams with most of their knowledge in one place are better served by Notion AI or ChatGPT's connectors.
The catch: Glean is built for larger companies. There is no self-serve plan and no public price; reported contracts often start around 100 seats and run to tens of thousands of dollars a year. Answers are only as good as your documents, so messy, out-of-date files produce messy answers.

Best use cases
Ways Glean can slot into your week.
- 1
Onboard new staff
New hires ask Glean how things are done instead of interrupting colleagues, and get answers with links to the right policies.
- 2
Answer support tickets faster
Agents search past tickets, docs and Slack threads to draft a reply with sources for the support person to check.
- 3
Prep for a sales call
Pull together everything about an account from the CRM, emails and shared docs into one brief.
- 4
Find that document
Search once for a contract, deck or spec instead of checking Drive, SharePoint and Slack separately.
How it fits your tech stack
Glean sits on top of the tools you already run and doesn't replace any of them. It makes the most sense when you have many apps from different vendors; with a single-vendor stack, that vendor's own assistant may be enough.
