These are the GitHub repos everyone in AI is talking about right now. Every one of them has blown up over the last few months, and every one of them is free. You don't need to be a developer to use them either. You paste a link into Claude Code, tell it what you want, and it does the setup for you.
What is a GitHub repo?
GitHub is where people share code. Think of it as Google Drive for software.
A repo (short for repository) is one project on GitHub. It's a folder with all the files that make a tool work, plus a front page (called the README) that explains what it does and how to set it up.
A few words you'll see on every repo:
| Word | What it means |
|---|---|
| Star | GitHub's version of a like or a bookmark. It's the best quick signal of how popular a repo is. |
| Open source | The code is public. Anyone can read it, use it and change it, usually for free. |
| Licence | The rules for using it. MIT and Apache mean you can use it for pretty much anything. AGPL means you can use it freely, but if you build a product on top of it you have to share your code too. |
| Skill | A set of instructions that teaches Claude how to do one job properly. |
| MCP | A connector that gives Claude a new ability, like controlling an app on your computer. |

The repos
Reverse Engineer Anything (REA)
See a feature you love in another app? Show Claude, and it works out how it's built, shows you the evidence, then builds a version for your own project. It can look inside desktop apps, websites and browser-based apps without needing their source code. Everything runs on your own computer.
Try asking: "Understand how search works in the Notes app, show me the evidence, and build a similar feature for my project."
https://github.com/morluto/rea
Install REA for Claude Code by running npx rea-agents setup. Walk me through any choices it asks me to make, then tell me when to restart Claude Code.ECC
ECC turns Claude Code into an expert developer. It adds 71 specialist agents, 300+ skills, better memory and built-in security scanning. The big change is how Claude works: it plans before it builds, tests its changes, reviews its own work and remembers what worked last time. If you build websites or apps with Claude Code, this is the one to install first.
https://github.com/affaan-m/ECC
Install ECC as a Claude Code plugin using the guided setup (npx ecc-universal setup). Use the recommended options, and don't stack a manual install on top. When it's done, tell me how to check it's enabled.Paperclip
URL: github.com/paperclipai/paperclip
Paperclip lets you build your own company of AI agents. You set a goal, "hire" agents into roles (CEO, marketer, designer, developer), give them budgets, and they work together on the tasks. It looks like a task manager: you approve their plans, check their work and watch the costs from one dashboard, even from your phone.
https://github.com/paperclipai/paperclip
Install Paperclip on my computer by following its installation guide. Check I have Node.js 24.11 or newer first and install it if I don't. Then run the onboarding and open the dashboard for me.VoiceStudio
URL: github.com/debpalash/VoiceStudio
A free, open-source alternative to ElevenLabs that runs on your own computer. Clone a voice from a short recording, design a new one, dub a video into another language, transcribe and dictate, or turn a script into an audiobook. It covers more than 600 languages and works on Mac, Windows and Linux.
Install the VoiceStudio Electron app on this device and verify it works, following
https://github.com/debpalash/VoiceStudio/blob/main/docs/install/agent.mdThat prompt comes straight from the VoiceStudio repo. It checks your hardware and asks before downloading the voice models.
PPT Master
URL: github.com/hugohe3/ppt-master
Give it a PDF, a Word doc or just a topic, and you get back a real PowerPoint file. Not images of slides: proper editable slides with native shapes, charts, tables, animations and transitions. It can also use your own company template. Expect a strong first draft you then polish, not a perfect deck in one go.
https://github.com/hugohe3/ppt-master
Install PPT Master so I can use it in Claude Code. Make sure Python 3.10 or newer is installed, clone the repo, and install the requirements. Then turn [your file name] into a 10-slide PowerPoint deck.Hypit
URL: github.com/hypit-ai/hypit
Drop in a viral video and Claude rebuilds it as a template: the footage, captions, B-roll and effects, all timed to the words. Then you make your own versions with your face, your script and your product. You can also start from one of their templates, or just describe the video you want. The skill is free; any AI video or image models you use with it cost extra.
Install the Hypit skill globally by running npx skills add hypit-ai/hypit -g. Then help me recreate the format of this video with my own script: [paste video link or file]Anatomy
URL: github.com/wheresryan22/anatomy
Ask Claude to explain how something works, and Anatomy turns the idea into an interactive isometric illustration, like a little machine whose moving parts show the concept. You can hover over it and take it apart. Great for explainer content, carousels and making a complicated offer easy to understand. No API keys needed.
Install the Anatomy skill for Claude Code by running npx skills add wheresryan22/anatomy -g -a claude-code. Then run /anatomy explain how [your topic] works, interactive.GenOffice
URL: github.com/genspark-ai/genoffice
A free, open-source alternative to Microsoft Office with an AI agent built into every document. It opens and saves real Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, plus PDFs. The AI's edits show up as tracked changes you can approve or roll back, and you can search across your files and ask questions about them. It also comes with a Claude Code skill, so Claude can create and edit real Office files for you.
https://github.com/genspark-ai/genoffice
Download and install the latest GenOffice release for my computer. Then set up its command line and agent skill so you can create and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint files for me.Concat
A free CapCut replacement with no watermarks, no account and no paywall. It does auto-captions, text-to-speech, voice cloning, background removal, effects and 4K export, all on your own computer. The best bit: it has a built-in MCP, so Claude can cut your videos inside it. It's still in beta, so expect some rough edges.
https://github.com/jub0t/Concat
Download and install Concat for my computer from its website, then connect it to Claude Code as an MCP server using the setup in docs/MCP.md. When it's done, show me what you can do in Concat.NiubiGEO
URL: github.com/Albert-Weasker/niubigeo
When people ask ChatGPT or Claude for a recommendation in your space, does your brand come up? NiubiGEO shows you. Enter your domain and it asks different AI models about your product, then shows you how they describe you, which competitors they name, and the sources they cite. You can track keywords over time too. It replaces AI visibility tools that cost thousands a year. You'll need an OpenRouter API key, which you pay for as you use it.
https://github.com/Albert-Weasker/niubigeo
Set up NiubiGEO on my computer by following the Get started section of the README. Check I have Node.js 22.13 or newer first. Ask me for my OpenRouter API key when you need it, then open it in my browser. How to install any GitHub repo
Every repo above has its own prompt, but the method is the same for any repo you find. You don't need to learn the terminal commands. Claude reads the instructions and runs them for you.
Step 1: Open Claude Code. Download the Claude app at claude.com/download, click the Code tab and set the environment to Local. You need a paid Claude plan.
Step 2: Paste the link and tell Claude what you want. Use this for any repo:
[paste the GitHub link]
Read this repo's README and install it on my computer so I can use it with Claude Code. Check for anything I need first (like Node.js or Python) and install it if it's missing. Explain each step in plain English and ask me before you change anything outside this folder.
When you're done, show me how to use it with one example.Step 3: Approve each step. Claude will ask before it runs commands. Read what it's about to do and click allow.
Step 4: Restart if it asks you to. Skills and MCPs usually load when Claude Code starts, so open a new session after installing.
Before you install anything
A repo is code that runs on your computer, so do a quick check first:
- Install from the original repo. Popular repos get copied by scammers. Use the links on this page, or check the owner's name matches the real one.
- Look at the stars and the last update. Thousands of stars and an update in the last week or two is a good sign.
- Ask Claude to check it first. "Read this repo and tell me if anything in it looks risky before you install it."
- Watch for costs. The repos are free, but the AI models and API keys they use often aren't.
Enjoy :)
