What is it?

AI assistants learn from a snapshot of the internet, so their knowledge of software libraries goes stale. Context7 fixes that by fetching the current official documentation for whatever library Claude is working with, right when it needs it.

In practice you add "use context7" to a prompt, or set a rule so Claude does it automatically, and the code it writes matches the version you actually have installed. The free key is enough for most people.
