Playwright MCP
Browser & Search
Gives Claude a real web browser so it can click around, test and screenshot sites.
Gives Claude a cloud browser to click, read and pull data from any website.
Browserbase runs real browsers in the cloud. Its MCP server lets Claude drive one with plain instructions like "click the pricing tab" or "pull every product name on this page", so it can research and collect data well beyond what it does on its own.
Because the browser runs on Browserbase's servers, nothing opens on your machine and you can leave long jobs running. Playwright is the free, local option; Browserbase is the one to reach for when sites push back or you want it off your laptop.
Open your terminal in the project folder and run:
claude mcp add --transport http browserbase "https://mcp.browserbase.com/mcp?browserbaseApiKey=YOUR_API_KEY"You'll be asked to sign in or paste an API key the first time you use it.
Anyone who wants Claude to do research or data collection that needs a real browser.
