Which plan to pickTry the Free plan for a week to get a feel for how many credits a real task uses, then move to the $20 Pro tier. Only go higher if you run out most months or you want it to publish websites for you.If you're choosing Neon, it's for the agents, so Standard at $19.90 a month is the plan that matters. Month to month, so try it for one month on a real job. The free plan's chat is more basic than the free AI in Opera One, so only stay on Free if you want to plug in your own Claude or ChatGPT.Use it free: the sidebar assistant alone is worth having, and most people never need more. Pro makes sense if you want Perplexity's research tools anyway, but don't buy it just for the browser agent, since Pro's credits are a one-off bundle. Nobody needs Max just for the browser.

Pros and cons

AttributeManusOpera NeonComet
Pros
  • You describe the result, not the steps
  • Strong at research, reports and first-draft decks
  • Scheduled tasks turn it into a hands-off research assistant
  • Apps for phone, desktop and browser
  • One of the strongest browser agents in reviews
  • Several top models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google in one subscription
  • Free plan lets your own AI drive the browser
  • Tasks keep each project's tabs and chat together

  • Free on Mac, Windows, Android and iPhone
  • Feels like Chrome, with your extensions and bookmarks
  • Answers about the page come with sources you can check
  • Comet Plus is included with Perplexity Pro and Max
  • Good at summaries and comparing tabs
Cons
  • Credits are hard to predict and one big task can drain the monthly allowance
  • Output needs checking, and it can waste credits on dead ends
  • Not suited to automations that must run the same way every time
  • Few direct app connections compared with the automation tools
  • Pricing page does not load without JavaScript, so plan details are hard to confirm
  • $19.90 a month when Comet and Opera One have free AI sidebars
  • Three separate modes (Chat, Do, Make) confuse new users
  • Windows and Mac only, no mobile app
  • Still labelled experimental by Opera
  • Prompt injection risk, as with every AI browser agent
  • Repeated prompt-injection attacks found by researchers in 2025 and 2026; risky with logged-in accounts
  • The agent is slow and sometimes gets stuck or gives up halfway
  • Browser control moved behind Computer credits in September 2026, so Pro users lost an included feature
  • Paying users complain of quiet limits, model downgrades and features being removed
  • Amazon sued over its shopping agent, and the case is still running
