Which plan to pickPro on the yearly plan is the only one that makes sense for an individual; the monthly price is steep. Free is really a taster for the meeting notes, not the inbox. Team is only worth it when several people handle the same clients. If you only whiteboard and dip into AI now and then, Starter is fine. If you want Sidekicks, Flows and prototypes, you need Business, and agencies benefit from its free client guests. Credits reset monthly and don't roll over, so buy a bundle before a big workshop week rather than mid-session.Solo users can stay on Free for a long time. For a team the honest answer is Business, because Plus leaves out the AI that makes Notion interesting now. Note that yearly billing is what gets you the $10 and $20 prices, and monthly billing costs more.

Cons

  • The free plan leaves out the inbox features people want it for
  • Credit limits on meetings and chat are hard to predict
  • Full access to your inbox is a lot of trust to hand a young company
  • AI credits are small, pooled and reset monthly, and regenerating costs again
  • The best AI features need Business
  • AI often struggles with large boards and some requests fail
  • Users say AI prompts and pop-ups crowd out basic fixes
  • Pricing risk after Bending Spoons' takeover deal
  • No imposed structure, so workspaces get messy without discipline
  • The useful AI is held back for the $20 Business plan
  • Can feel slow with large databases and on patchy connections
