Which plan to pickStart with the free credits on a real job. If you retouch a few hundred photos a month, Basic Plus brings each photo to well under 10 cents. Pay as you go suits occasional work but costs two to three times as much per photo. Remember credits are lost if you let a yearly plan lapse for more than 30 days.Top up $10 to $20 of Playground credits and you will get a couple of hundred standard images. If you already pay for Krea, Magnific or Leonardo, try FLUX there first. Only look at open weights or a self-hosting licence if you have a developer and a reason to run it yourself.Standard is the sweet spot because relax mode means you never run out. Go to Pro if you make images for clients, since Basic and Standard publish everything you make to the public gallery. Yearly billing takes a chunk off every plan.

Pros and cons

AttributeEvoto AIFLUXMidjourney
Pros
  • Cuts portrait retouching time dramatically when you have many faces to fix
  • Fine slider control, so results can look natural
  • Glasses glare and backdrop cleanup save reshoots
  • You only pay for edited photos you export, and re-exports are free
  • Fast, regular updates with culling and video added in 2025 and 2026
  • FLUX 3 Image is among the most precise editors available
  • No subscription, and cheap per image
  • Open models you can run privately on your own PC
  • Built into many apps you may already use
  • Same price in the Playground and the API
  • Consistently the most attractive output of any generator
  • Style and character references keep a campaign looking like one set
  • Relax mode on Standard and above means unlimited generations
  • The editor handles extending and fixing parts of an image well
Cons
  • Paying per exported photo adds up for high-volume photographers
  • Credit expiry and renewal rules confuse people, and some report surprise charges and slow support
  • Account and licence glitches sometimes lock paying users out until support steps in
  • Weaker raw editing and colour than Lightroom, so you usually still need both
  • Culling and batch results still need checking image by image
  • The Playground is a developer test bench, not a friendly design app
  • Licences are confusing: some open models are non-commercial
  • Strict filters, and users say the open models are weak at people
  • 4K images are expensive at about 61 cents each
  • Reviews of the small Klein model are mixed
  • No free plan or trial
  • Text in images and exact layouts are unreliable
  • Your images are public unless you are on Pro or Mega
  • The learning curve is real if you want control rather than luck
  • No API or integrations with other tools
