Which plan to pickStart on Pro to see which jobs it handles well for you. If you hand it real work most days you will hit the limits, and Max is the plan that makes it a daily tool.Pro is enough to see what it can do for you. Browser tasks use your limits faster than chat, so if you hand it real work every day you'll likely need Max. Teams should use the Team plan so an admin can control which sites Claude can use.Use it free: the sidebar assistant alone is worth having, and most people never need more. Pro makes sense if you want Perplexity's research tools anyway, but don't buy it just for the browser agent, since Pro's credits are a one-off bundle. Nobody needs Max just for the browser.

  • Scheduled tasks and phone hand-off make it feel like an assistant
  • Plans first and asks before big actions, so you stay in control
  • Works in the Chrome you already use, with your logins

Cons
  • Agent tasks burn through usage limits quickly, especially on Pro
  • Long or complex jobs sometimes stall or produce wrong results
  • Scheduled tasks need your computer awake with Claude open
  • Files with hidden instructions can trick it, and when it controls your screen nothing walls it off from the rest of your computer
  • Still rolling out: Team and Free don't have the merged version yet
  • Desktop Chrome only: no Edge, Brave, Safari or phone
  • Web pages can hide instructions to trick it, and the risk isn't zero
  • Browser tasks use up your Claude limits quickly
  • Slower than doing a short task yourself
  • Not on the free Claude plan
  • Researchers found repeated ways in 2025 and 2026 for web pages to hijack the agent, so it's risky with logged-in accounts
  • The agent is slow and sometimes gets stuck or gives up halfway
  • Browser control moved behind Computer credits in September 2026, so Pro users lost an included feature
  • Paying users complain of quiet limits, model downgrades and features being removed
  • Amazon sued over its shopping agent, and the case is still running
