Which plan to pickTry it on Plus with a couple of real jobs. If you hand it work most days you'll run out of credits, and that's when Pro or extra credits make sense.Pro 100 is the cheapest way in for one person, and the bigger Pro tiers don't give you a better dot, just more room for the work it runs. If you're in the UK or Europe, or you want dots for staff, Business Premium is the only option. Don't upgrade from Plus just to try it until OpenAI publishes the usage terms that apply after the launch month. It's all free. Sign in with a free Opera account if you want your chats saved and more images; otherwise just download it and click Ask AI. Opera sells a separate VPN Pro, but you don't need it for the AI.

Pros and cons

AttributeChatGPT WorkDots by OpenAIOpera One
Pros
  • Handles multi-step work across email, calendar and files, not just chat
  • Runs in the cloud, so scheduled tasks don't need your computer on
  • No separate subscription if you already pay for ChatGPT
  • Asks before important actions, and you can redirect it mid-task
  • Hands back finished documents, decks and spreadsheets
  • Keeps working on a goal without you starting each task
  • Its own cloud computer, so nothing runs on your laptop
  • Custom rules give clear control over what it can do alone
  • Reach it in Slack and Teams, not just ChatGPT
  • Chatting with it doesn't count against your ChatGPT limits
  • Free, with no account needed for the AI
  • Tab Islands make the AI's context easy to control
  • Handles files, YouTube videos and images, not just web pages
  • Free VPN, ad blocker and translator built in
  • Page access is off until you allow it
Cons
  • Long tasks burn through credits quickly, especially on Plus
  • Long or complex jobs still go wrong and need checking
  • Reads a lot of your email, calendar and chat, which some teams won't accept
  • Only one Gmail account at a time for now
  • Needs Pro or Business Premium, at $100 a month or more
  • Pro users in the EU, UK and Switzerland can't use it yet
  • Tasks it runs still use your plan's limits, and later pricing for extra dots is unknown
  • Early reviews reported failed checkouts, dropped messages and permission bugs
  • An agent with access to your apps around the clock needs careful rules and regular checks
  • No agent: it can't click, fill in forms or finish tasks on sites
  • Browser Connector for ChatGPT and Claude is still an opt-in test feature
  • Opera doesn't say which Gemini model you get or publish chat limits
  • Sponsored speed dials and news on the start page by default
