Which plan to pickIf you edit and sign PDFs as well as read them, Acrobat Studio is the best deal because it costs only $5 a month more than Pro and includes the AI. If you only want to ask questions of PDFs, Express is cheaper. Use the free trial first, because cancelling a yearly plan early costs money. If you already pay for Claude, you have it. Try it on Free first, and move to Pro once you're making more than the odd document, because decks use up a Free allowance fast. Team makes sense when colleagues need to open and comment on the same documents.Use the free credits to make two or three decks and judge the output. If you'll keep using it, Plus is the sensible step because it removes the badge and refreshes credits monthly. Only move to Pro if you want the API, custom domains or viewer analytics.

Cons
  • Not included in plain Acrobat Pro
  • Early cancellation fees on yearly plans
  • Officially supports only 13 languages
  • Free tools like NotebookLM do much of the same Q&A
  • No brand templates in Slides, so decks look generic next to Claude Design or Gamma
  • Rewriting a long doc eats your Claude usage limits quickly, especially on Free and Pro
  • Rough edges on complex formatting, and co-editing and version history are lighter than Google Docs
  • Decks are starting to look recognisably "made by Claude" to clients
  • Sometimes makes a Claude Doc when you wanted a plain Word file, and docs don't flow back into Project knowledge
  • Free credits are a one-off, so the free plan runs out
  • Hard to keep strictly on brand across many decks
  • Credits drain quickly if you regenerate images often
  • Exports to PowerPoint don't always keep the layout intact
