What is it?

Gives Claude a reliable toolkit for everything PDF: extracting text and tables, combining or splitting files, rotating pages, adding watermarks, filling in forms, and running text recognition on scanned documents so they become searchable.

Without it, Claude guesses at which tool to use and often fails on forms or scans. With it, each task has a tested approach, so routine admin like merging statements or filling a standard form just works.

Install in Claude Code
