Caveman
Productivity
Makes Claude say less and read less, cutting token use by up to 75% with the same answers.

Keeps bulky tool output out of Claude's memory, so long sessions last much longer.
Claude's context window is its short-term memory for a session. Every tool it uses pours output into it: one web page snapshot or a list of GitHub issues can take tens of thousands of characters. Fill it up and Claude starts forgetting what it was doing.
Context Mode runs that output in a sandbox on your computer and only passes Claude the part it needs. It also keeps a searchable record of the session, the files edited, tasks and decisions, so when Claude compacts the conversation to free space it can pick up exactly where it left off. /context-mode:ctx-stats shows how much it saved.
It's free to use, but it's source-available rather than open source. That only matters if you want to resell it. The same company sells paid products for teams.
In Claude Code run /plugin marketplace add mksglu/context-mode, then /plugin install context-mode@context-mode, then restart Claude Code (or run /reload-plugins). Check it with /context-mode:ctx-doctor.
/context-mode:ctx-statsHeavy Claude Code users who keep hitting usage limits or losing the thread in long sessions.
