Coding Workflows
A full working method for Claude: brainstorm, plan, build with tests, then review.
A template that gives Claude full context up front so features ship with fewer re-prompts.
Context engineering is the idea that the quality of what Claude builds depends on what it knows going in. This template packages that into a workflow: project rules in CLAUDE.md, real code examples, and a Product Requirements Prompt (PRP) that spells out the feature, the gotchas and how to validate it.
Two commands do the work. /generate-prp researches your codebase and writes the plan; /execute-prp builds the feature against it, running checks as it goes. Fewer back-and-forth prompts means fewer wasted tokens and fewer half-finished features.
Clone github.com/coleam00/context-engineering-intro as the starting point for a project. Edit CLAUDE.md with your rules, drop code examples into examples/, describe the feature in INITIAL.md, then run /generate-prp INITIAL.md and /execute-prp PRPs/<name>.md in Claude Code.
/generate-prp INITIAL.mdAnyone building real projects with Claude Code who wants it to get things right the first time.
Why it made the list
It is the simplest explanation of why Claude Code sometimes nails it and sometimes doesn't, with a fix.
Coding Workflows
A full working method for Claude: brainstorm, plan, build with tests, then review.
Coding Workflows
A seven-step routine for adding a feature: understand, ask, design, build, review.
Coding Workflows
Makes Claude write the smallest code that works, cutting tokens and cost by about half.
Productivity
Makes Claude say less and read less, cutting token use by up to 75% with the same answers.
