Slack's official hosted connector gives Claude a seat in your workspace, with the same access you have. Ask it to catch you up on a channel, find that link someone posted last week, or post the deploy summary it just wrote.
A workspace admin has to approve the integration once, which is a good thing. Slack also publishes a Claude Code plugin that sets this up for you.
What Claude can do once it's connected
- Search messages, files and people
- Read a channel or a thread and summarise it
- Send or schedule a message, or draft one for you to send
- Create and update canvases and lists
- Add reactions and upload files
Install in Claude Code
Open your terminal in the project folder and run:
