Which plan to pickIf you already pay for Claude Pro, you have it. If not, try Design on the Free plan and move to Pro when the daily limits get in the way, which happens quickly once you're iterating on a deck. Team makes sense when several people need the same brand setup.Use the free credits to make two or three decks and judge the output. If you'll keep using it, Plus is the sensible step because it removes the badge and refreshes credits monthly. Only move to Pro if you want the API, custom domains or viewer analytics. If your business is on a Microsoft 365 Business plan, Copilot Business is the one to trial, and only for the people who live in Outlook, Teams and Word all day. Don't buy it for everyone on day one. Check the current per-user price on Microsoft's site, because it changes with promotions.

Pros and cons

AttributeClaude DesignGammaMicrosoft 365 Copilot
Pros
  • Matches your brand far better than other generators

  • Clean hand-off to Claude Code for building
  • You refine by talking, which non-designers find natural
  • Fastest route from notes to a presentable deck
  • Designs look polished without any design skill
  • One file works as a deck, document or web page
  • The agent makes rewrites and restyles painless

  • Enterprise security and permissions come built in

Cons
  • Still new, so layouts occasionally need manual fixing
  • Slower to generate than Gamma
  • Uses up your Claude usage limits, which bite on Free and Pro
  • No standalone API for automated deck generation
  • Free credits are a one-off, so the free plan runs out
  • Hard to keep strictly on brand across many decks
  • Credits drain quickly if you regenerate images often
  • Exports to PowerPoint don't always keep the layout intact
  • An add-on cost on top of your existing licence, so it adds up fast
  • Writing quality is flatter than Claude or ChatGPT
  • Results suffer if your files and SharePoint are disorganised
  • Pricing and plan names change often and are hard to follow
