Which plan to pickStart on Pro. It is enough to build a small site or tool in evenings and weekends. If you hit the limit most days, Max 5x is the next step; it costs five times as much but usually works out cheaper than paying for the API directly. Max also lets you spend up to half your weekly limit on Fable, which Pro only gets through paid credits.Start with the 14-day trial. Essentials is enough for most small teams; you only pay for developers who open pull requests. Turn on usage-based reviews ($0.25 a file) with a monthly cap if you keep hitting the hourly limit.Start on the free Individual tier; it is the whole point. If you hit the weekly limits and you also use Gemini for other things, Google AI Pro at $19.99 is a sensible step. Ultra only makes sense for full-time developers.

  • Costs on Max or the API add up fast for teams
  • Anthropic cut weekly Claude Code limits by about 17% on 14 September, and limits may shift again

  • Free limits have been cut before and could change again
