Which plan to pickIf you have Plus already, you are set; its deep research allowance covers most people. Do not buy ChatGPT just for research unless you also want the rest of it, because Perplexity Pro costs less and is faster. Pro is only worth it if you run reports every day.Try the free plan first; it is enough to see the style of report you get. If you want it weekly, Google AI Pro is the pick because the Pro model writes better reports and the same subscription upgrades NotebookLM and Gemini in Gmail and Docs.Free is genuinely enough for most people. Pay for Individual only if you are writing prompts all day and the style matching would save you editing time. Check the Team price on the site; it was not shown on the pricing page when we looked.

  • Can bring your own files and connected apps into the research
  • Exports to PDF with charts and tables
  • You can edit the plan before it runs, so fewer wasted reports

  • Free plan includes it, and Pro is good value for Workspace users
  • Audio Overviews and Canvas make the output easy to share
  • Zero setup; the free plan is unlimited

  • Cheap paid plan with writing-style matching
Cons
