What is it?

Expo is a popular way to build one app that runs on both iPhone and Android. Its own team maintains these skills, so Claude follows current best practice for screens, navigation, animations, data loading, upgrades and native features.

The skills are split into two clear groups. Framework skills are free and open source. Service skills cover Expo's paid cloud services (EAS) for building, submitting to the App Store and Google Play, pushing updates and hosting, and each one starts with a note on costs and plan limits.

It's only useful if you're building a mobile app. If you are, it saves a lot of fighting with outdated advice.

Install in Claude Code

In Claude Code run /plugin install expo@claude-plugins-official. It also connects Expo's MCP, so Claude can read the latest Expo docs. Other agents can run npx skills@latest add expo/skills --skill '*'.
