What is it?

Dev Browser lets Claude control Chrome with short JavaScript scripts. The browser stays open between calls, so Claude can navigate once, inspect the page, act, and check the result without starting over each time.

Named tabs carry state across scripts, and pages come back as compact accessibility snapshots that are easy for Claude to read. It can launch an isolated Chrome profile or attach to a browser you already have open, logins and all.

Compared with the Playwright MCP it is lighter and feels more like handing Claude the keyboard.

Install in Claude Code

Run npm install -g dev-browser, then dev-browser install-skill --claude to add the skill to ~/.claude/skills. Run dev-browser chrome to open a Chrome profile Claude can attach to. macOS and Linux only for now.
