Ahrefs MCP

Ahrefs is one of the main SEO tools for keyword and backlink data. Its official connector lets Claude run the reports and explain them, like "find 20 low-competition keywords for our running shoes page" or "why did our traffic drop compared with the competitor?"

It's in Claude's connector directory, so on the web or desktop you add it under Settings > Connectors. In Claude Code, run the command below, type /mcp, then log in to Ahrefs and click Allow.

You need a paid Ahrefs plan, Lite or higher. Every call uses API units from your monthly allowance, and a new connection is capped at 200,000 units a month unless your admin changes it. Keep an eye on usage if Claude is running big reports.

Open your terminal (the text window where you run Claude Code) in your project folder, then paste this command to connect it:

The first time you use it, you'll be asked to sign in or paste an API key (a private code from the app that lets Claude use your account).
