Which plan to pickIf you already pay for Claude, you have it. Try it on Free first, and move to Pro once you're making more than the odd document, because decks use up a Free allowance fast. Team makes sense when colleagues need to open and comment on the same documents. There's no half-way option: Business is the first plan with real Notion AI, so budget $20 a member a month. If your team is five people on Plus, that's an extra $50 a month, which is fair if meeting notes and search save each person an hour a week.Pro is the sweet spot for most people because it adds document uploads and the MCP server. Move to Team only when several people need decks on the same brand template. Prices are per user.

Pros and cons

AttributeClaude Docs & SlidesNotion AIPlus AI
Pros
  • No extra subscription if you already use Claude, and Free can try it
  • The document or deck comes out of the same chat that did the research
  • Edit directly or by asking, without copying text into another app
  • Exports to the formats clients and colleagues already use
  • Report and deck stay consistent because they come from one conversation
  • Answers from your own knowledge base, not the web
  • Meeting notes land exactly where the project lives
  • Database autofill saves hours of manual tagging
  • Agent can do multi-step work across your workspace
  • Official Claude connection for deeper automation
  • Output is a normal Slides or PowerPoint file you can keep editing
  • Good at editing existing decks, not just new ones
  • Brand templates for teams
  • MCP server and API for automation
Cons
  • No brand templates in Slides, so decks look generic next to Claude Design or Gamma
  • Rewriting a long doc eats your Claude usage limits quickly, especially on Free and Pro
  • Rough edges on complex formatting, and co-editing and version history are lighter than Google Docs
  • Decks are starting to look recognisably "made by Claude" to clients
  • Sometimes makes a Claude Doc when you wanted a plain Word file, and docs don't flow back into Project knowledge
  • Needs the Business plan, which doubles the cost of Plus
  • Useless if your knowledge isn't already in Notion
  • Writing quality is fine but behind Claude for long pieces
  • Search quality depends on how well your workspace is organised
  • No free plan; the trial needs a card
  • Credit-based, and complex decks use credits quickly
  • Branding features are locked to the Team plan
  • Charts from complex data often need manual fixing
