Which plan to pickBasic is enough for most small business sites, and the free custom domain on a yearly plan makes it good value. Move to Pro when you pass 30 pages or want more than two CMS collections. Budget for extra editor seats at $20 a month if more than one person will design.Stay on Free if you make the odd page. Plus is the sensible paid plan; the credit allowance matches what you pay, so treat it as pay-as-you-go with a monthly minimum. Business costs over three times as much for the same credits, so only pick it for the data protections.Pro is where Softr starts to feel like a proper product: you can remove the branding, give clients Google sign-in and add more users as you grow. Basic is fine for a solo consultant with five clients. The pricing page has a monthly and yearly toggle that we could not read, so confirm whether the prices shown are the yearly rate before you budget.

Pros

  • Smooth animations and interactions without a developer
  • Hosting, CMS and a domain are all in one bill
  • AI agents handle copy, translation and page builds
  • Huge template library to start from

  • Standard code that developers can take over without a rewrite
  • Design Mode tweaks are free
  • Fast publishing through Vercel
  • Works on top of the spreadsheets and databases you already run
  • Predictable, tested blocks rather than AI-generated code
  • Fine-grained permissions for who sees what

  • API and MCP access on every plan
Cons
  • Extra editors at $20 a month each make team use pricey
  • The CMS is shallower than Webflow's for big content sites
  • No logins, user accounts or app features
  • Moving a site off Framer later is hard, there is no clean export
  • Plus is $30 per user, and credits are spent as you go on top of that
  • Weak at logins, databases and anything beyond the front end
  • The 7-message free limit runs out fast
  • You need a Vercel account and some comfort with GitHub to get the most from it
  • Per-user pricing makes a portal with many clients expensive
  • Limited to what the blocks can do, so unusual features are hard
  • Not suited to marketing sites or public-facing content
  • Billing basis of the displayed prices is unclear on the page
